Fresh food is richer in minerals and vitamins than canned, and wild vegetables and berries are usually richer than cultivated plant foods. Some vitamins decompose with prolonged standing grocery and particularly drying or cooking them. Minerals and vitamins are not substitute for food. Many of them can not be taken without food intake. In addition, the body needs many other nutrients, not just vitamins and minerals (such as proteins, carbohydrates, fats, etc.).
